Program Performance
To evaluate the extent to which ADS achieves its mission, ADS conducts
follow-up surveys of consumers after they are discharged. The questionnaire
not only collects information on abstinence but also on factors which have
been shown to correlate with maintaining sobriety. According to a
sample of consumers surveyed, during FY 2007, 90 days or more after being
discharged from treatment:
- 89% of all consumers
had no further contact with police.
- 72% of all clients
obtained employment, started back or remained in school, made enough
money to pay for their living expenses, and/or report no problems at
work or school.
- 64% maintained good
relations with family and significant others.
- 85% obtained living
arrangements/housing conducive to recovery.
- 88% were satisfied
with the services they received.
Additionally, 80% of clients that underwent
Detoxification, or received either Residential Treatment or Structured
Transitional Housing services successfully completed their program.
